How Much:
How much meat will I get?
All weights are approximate:
- 1/4 of a Cow: 175-225 lbs.
- 1/2 of a Cow: 350-450 lbs.
- Whole Cow: 700-900 lbs.
How much freezer space will I need?
- 1/4 of a Cow: 5-7 cubic foot
- 1/2 of a Cow: 10-12 cubic foot
- Whole Cow: 17-20 cubic foot
Pricing
$3.25/lb hang weight + processing cost
The hanging weight is the carcass weight of the steer at the processor before it is hung to age 12-14 days. You will pay J Videto Farms for the hanging weight of the steer and you will pay the processor for the processing cost. Processing costs vary by the cuts you request.

Our Processor
Countryside Quality Meats in Union City, MI processes all of our cuts. Countryside is a USDA certified facilities. Countryside allows our steers to age for 12-14 days after butchered to enhance the tenderness. Then they cut and vacuum seal our beef, allowing for maximum freezer life.
From Start to Finish, How Long Will It Take?
Once we deliver the steer to the processor it will take about 3 weeks before it is done and ready for pick up. So you are looking at about 4 weeks minimum from our farm to the processor to your freezer.
